CAN gets big sponsorship.

Singapore’s multinational company Singa Steel Pvt. Ltd’s apparel producers BS Sports has tied with the CAN fo a three-year sponsorship for National Cricket Teams’ for jersey and cricket gears.

 

The deal is worth almost Rs 30 million in cash and kind making it the biggest in Nepali cricketing history. BS Sports will provide the senior men’s national team, women’s national team and U-19 teams with jersey and all cricket gears.

 

 

CAN President Tanka Aangbuhang and SingaSteel Chief Executive Officer Saad Khan Januza, also the skipper of the Singapore national team, signed in the MoU during a programme on Sunday.

 

 

BS Sports will also provide performance-based cash incentives to senior cricketers in the ICC-organised tournaments apart from providing them with match fees. Nepal will use the jersey and gears from the company when they take on the field during the 2014 ICC World Twenty20 in March in Bangladesh.

 

Januza, who agreed for the sponsorship following initiation from former national team cricketers Binod Das and Amir Akhtar during the recently concluded Journey To World Cup, said he was glad to be a part of Nepali cricket and assured more can be expected from the company.“We are looking forward to sponsor Nepali cricketers as well. We are considering to establish a long term relation with Nepali cricket. According to Januza, BS Sports is currently sponsoring Pakistan’s Kamran Akmal and Younis Khan, Prasanna Jayawardene of Sri Lanka and Ravi Rampaul of the West Indies.
