Australian batting coach Chris Harris landed in Nepal today for a 10-day stay. Harris has been called up to give tips to the national team preparing for the ICC World Twenty20 Qualifiers to be held in UAE in November.

“This is my first time in Nepal, so I am feeling really excited to be here. A little bit weary but I am really excited,” Harris told cricketingnepal.com.  Harris was ready to train Nepali  batsmen.

“I am here to assist the batting unit.  Since Nepal are prearing for the Twenty20 and One-Day Qualifiers, I  have to prepare them mentally and physically,” said Harris adding he has learnt about Nepali cricket a little bit.

“I have learnt a little bit about Nepali cricket. And I am really looking forward to learn more about it the next few days,” added the batting coach from the Australian state of Victoria.

Harris’ arrival comes as a part of High Performance Programme prepared by the Cricket Association of Nepal for the Twenty20 and 50-over World Cup Qualifiers.

CAN member Purna Lama who is also the High Performance Programme Manager welcomed Harris  at Tribhuwan International Airport.
