Nepal lost it’s first practice match of Delhi tour.

Nepal Today played the first match of their Delhi tour with DDCA XI before the world T 20 qualifiers.They started  their tour with a 4 wicket lost to DDCA XI at Feroz Saha Kotla.After winning the toss captain of DDCA XI Pawan Negi invited Nepal to bat first.With a steady batting from the opener Subash Khakurel who made 45  runs out of 40 balls and some late hitting by Nepal’s captain Paras who made 39 runs of 26 balls Nepal made 137 in allotted 20 overs with the lost of 4 wickets.

Opener of Nepal Sagar Poon was out early just by scoring 3 runs of 4 balls.Then for the second wicket there was a constructive innings partnership of Subash and Gyanendra who scored 26 of 33 balls.Binod Bhandari scored 11 runs out of 12 balls and the last man to be dismissed was Sharad for Nepal who scored 6 runs from 8 balls.Nepal made 137 for the lost of 4 wickets at the end of their 20 overs.

In replay opener of DDCA XI Dhrub Shorev played a match winning innings of 72 runs of just 42 balls which helped DDCA XI win the match in 19.1 overs by 4 wickets.Other good score for DDCA XI came from the bat of their captain Pawan Negi who scored 26 runs of just 16 balls at a very crucial time of game.For Nepal again the spinner duo of Shakti and Basanta did well.Talking 1 and 2 wicket receptively.

The next match is scheduled to be played at Feroz Shah Kotla on 22nd of October with the same team DDCA XI.Nepal will play 7 t 20 practice matches before going to Dubai on November to play Word T 20 qualifiers.
