Nepal lost another warm up match against Kenya played, at St Andrew’s College Ground, Christchurch. After winning the toss, Nepal opted to bat first, and gave the target of 266 runs. Nepal made 265 runs losing 8 wicket in allotted 50 over match. Anil Mandal higest scorer for Nepal made 62 runs in 65 balls with 11 boundaries, assisted by Binod Bhandari 48 runs, Pradeep Airee 42 runs and Basanta Regmi 21 runs from 17 balls. While from the bowling side Elijah Otieno and Nehemiah Odhiambho shared 2-2 wickets in theri name.

Chasing the target of 266, Kenya made a slow start losing Alex Obanda so early at the score of 8. Irfan Karim, Mouris Ouma and Thomos Odoyo played a crucial role to seize the victory from Nepal’s hand. Mouris Ouma made 73 runs, which became the strong base for Thomos Odoyo to be very near to target. Thomos Odoyo hammered 18 runs in the last over, where they need 16 runs to win from 6 balls. Shakti was the most economical bowler for Nepal, took 4 wickets in his 10 over spell along with 2 maiden over giving just 28 runs, while Sompal was far expensive, gave 86 runs in his 9.5 over spell. Thomos Odoyo made 66 runs just from 54 balls, and helped the Kenya team for the win. Kenya won the game by 1 wicket, before 1 ball.
