Panchakanya Tez sets up the finals clash with the Jagdamba Giants
May 23- Panchakanya Tez have qualified to play in the finals of the ongoing Ncell NPL after deafeating Kantipur Gurkhas by 5 wickets in the second semi-final.They will contend against the Jagdamba Giants for the title clash. 

Kantipur Gurkhas won the toss and elected to bat first.They made a poor start as they lost half of their side for just 43 runs inside 17th over.Despite some late-order rearguard action, they could only muster 116 runs in 40.3 overs.Skipper Basanta Regmi top-scored with 23 runs off 58 deliveries while Aakash Bista contributed 22 runs of 34 balls.Rajkumar Pradhan was the leading bowler as he picked up 3-26 off 9 overs while Bhuwan Karki had a impressive figure of 6-2-7-2.


Chasing 117 runs to win, the Panchakanya Tez also made a similar bad start as they lost their first five wickets for just 59 runs.But from that point on the Gurkhas bowlers failed to make any inroads in the Tez batting line-up.The unbeaten 60 runs partnership between Sunny Pun (37*) and Bhuwan Karki (35*) propelled them to a relatively easy victory.They reached their target in just 29.5 overs losing 5 wickets.Basanta Regmi shone with the ball as he picked up 3 wickets for just 15 runs in 9 overs.


Bhuwan Karki, obviously, was declared Player of the Match for his all-round performance.
